Coconuts

Our coconuts come almost entirely from Vaanavil Farm & Food Forest, where we grow several traditional varieties side by side - preserving the biodiversity that once made every Tamil homestead distinct. No two coconuts are identical here, and that's intentional.

The farm practices zero tillage, allowing the soil biology to remain undisturbed. The coconut palms grow in a food forest system alongside other trees and plants, without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

You receive dehusked coconuts, fresh from the farm - ready for your kitchen. Use them for chutney, curries, or simply raw. The coconut water and kernel from traditionally grown varieties tends to be more flavorful than what you find in commercial supply chains.
