Job's tears - Coix lacryma-jobi, also known as adlay millet, is a tall grain-bearing perennial tropical plant of the family Poaceae. It is known as Nerpavazham in Tamil and as Gavedhuka in Hindi & Sanskrit. The hard, grey seeds of Job's tears have historically been used as beads to make necklaces and other objects. The seeds are naturally bored with holes without the need to artificially puncture them.
