Somewhere between a wrap and a work of art, this stole is the kind of thing you reach for without thinking - thrown over a kurta in the morning, draped across your shoulders on a cool evening, or gifted to someone you want to give something that means something.
The fabric is soft, breathable cotton. The prints are block-printed by hand - each motif pressed one stamp at a time by the women of Konnai, a self-help group working out of Tiruttani in Tamil Nadu. The colour palette stays close to the earth: muted greens, ochres, warm browns, botanical shapes drawn from the natural world.
We came to Konnai through our ongoing relationship with handloom and handcrafted textiles - the same commitment that brings you our hand-woven towels. This was a small, deliberate procurement: 10 stoles, bought to support a craft and the people keeping it alive.
No two pieces will be identical. That's not a disclaimer - that's the point.
Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water. Do not wring. Dry in shade.
